Americanism Essay Contest Resources

Every year, the American Legion Auxiliary sponsors an Americanism Essay Contest for students grades 3-12. The contest encourages students to explore, contemplate and come to appreciate the fundamental rights and freedom we enjoy today in the United States.

The 2026 essay title reflects the significance of this year: "Celebrating America's 250th Birthday and the Veterans Who Fought for Our Freedom"
